La TSVVS и, a mio
parere, una delle piщ affascinanti fotocamere dell'intera
produzione sovietica. Corpo macchina di diretta derivazione Leica con innesto a
baionetta Contax: un ibrido che a suo tempo fu
sicuramente al di sopra di tutte le diatribe tra i sostenitori e i detrattori
dell'uno e dell'altro sistema. TSVVS for me is
one of more fascinating camera of whole Soviet production. Body directly Leica
derived and Contax lens bajonet: the best formula to keep agreement for both
Leica and Contax fans.
La
TSVVS venne costruita
nel biennio 1949-1950. Se non и tuttora ben
chiaro DOVE venne fabbricata (l'ipotesi и Kharkov, in
Ucraina, dove vi era la FED), abbastanza chiaro sembra PER CHI: le alte sfere
dell'Aeronautica Militare Sovietica. In effetti, un oggetto tanto curato,
rifinito, dotato oltretutto di obiettivi pregiati e quindi molto costoso non
poteva essere destinato al popolo... Le FED1 e le ZORKI 1 avrebbero, come ben
sappiamo, svolto egregiamente questa funzione (passando dalla FED-ZORKI, ma
anche in questo caso si mirava ad una produzione "non per tutti", perт subito accantonata). TSVVS
was made in 1949-50. Until now it is not clear WHERE (hypothesis is

versione piщ accreditata и appunto quella della macchina concepita come
strumento di lavoro per il Servizio Topografico Aereo Militare (che
sarebbe all'incirca la traduzione dell'acronimo TSVVS, TCBBC in cirillico). Most probable
reason of this camera is work tool of Militar Topographic Aerial Service (in
Russian TSVVS, TCBBC in cyrillic).
Questa fotocamera и molto rara; la
produzione и stimata sotto le
duemila unitа.It is supposed less 2000 units was produced;
so it is rare.
A prima vista sembrerebbe identica alla
FED 1 (anche per questo forse si ipotizza la
provenienza dalla stessa fabbrica); in realtа и molto diversa, sia
come finiture, materiali, (corpo in ottone) nelle dimensioni e nei pesi, al
contrario della spiccata somiglianza tra la FED 1 e la ZORKI 1, specialmente
tra alcuni modelli. L'attento esame di queste caratteristiche mette al riparo
dalla possibilitа di portarsi a casa un "pacco" (possibilitа
meno remota di quanto si possa credere: mi sono imbattuto in almeno una decina
di TSVVS contraffatte, alcune talmente grossolane da poter essere smascherate
anche solo in foto!) At
first sight it seems identical to FED 1 (for this
reason maybe somebody said TSVVS made in the same FED factory) Instead it is
very different from FED 1 (materials, weight, body in brass, etc), not like FED
1 and ZORKI 1, practically the same camera. Examining these characteristics
could help to avoid to buy a fake (there are a lot, some very rough to can
recognize only by photo...)

Il modello qui esaminato и il n. 271.
L'anno di fabbricazione (bene in vista!) и il 1949, primo anno della produzione di questi modelli. Come giа detto, la produzione proseguirа l'anno seguente e si concluderа. Non si conoscono modelli del 1951. Sul
tettuccio si trova la stella a cinque punte con all' interno una falce e
martello e tra le punte le lettere cirilliche TCBBC (TSVVS in caratteri
latini).This model is #271. Year
of fabrication is 1949 (really well-sight!), the first production year for
these models. As said, production will be stop on follow year. Until now
there are not listed 1951 models. On top there is a five-tip star with inside
the famous "hammer and sickle" and letters TCBBC (TSVVS in latin). 2.
La finestrella del mirino и molto piщ stretta. Un particolare che non puт venir riprodotto sulle FED 1 e sulle ZORKI
1 in maniera "invisibile". Gli oculari del telemetro sono molto piщ grossi delle FED e delle ZORKI. Viewfinder
window is smaller than FED 1 and ZORKI 1, a particular not easy fakeable.
Round rangefinder oculars are larger.

Dettaglio dell'altro oculare, quello responsabile dell' "immagine
fantasma". Si riesce ad intravedere una luminescenza gialla,
caratteristica peculiare della TSVVS. The other
(yellow) rangefinder ocular, which create the "ghost image" in the
rangefinder. In TSVVS this image is yellow-coloured, an unique feature.
4. Come
per gli oculari anteriori, stesso discorso per gli oculari posteriori, piщ massicci.As front oculars, rear oculars are larger than FED 1 and ZORKI 1.

Il selettore delle velocitа di
otturazione non ha stranamente per la posa la lettera "Z", bensм la "B". Come ben si sa, Z sta per
ZEIT, ovvero dal tedesco TEMPO, mentre B non sta per BULB, lampada-lampo, ma и il cirillico di "V", l'iniziale
di "VECHNOST" = ETERNITA'*. Tutt'e due designano la cosiddetta
POSA, ovvero l'otturatore che rimane aperto per tutto il tempo (ZEIT) in cui
il pulsante rimane schiacciato. Sulle fotocamere tedesche (e loro derivati
es. le FED 1 e le ZORKI 1) vi si trovava quindi la Z. Sulla TSVVS troviamo
invece appunto la B. La linea di fede и sulla
staffa porta accessori.Shutter
speed selector has strangely "B" instead of "Z". Z
means "ZEIT", in German means "TIME"; "B"
means, in Russian, "V"for "VECHNOST = ETERNITY*. Both terms
describe the position of shutter selector in which the curtains remain open
all the time during shutter release button is pressed. On German cameras (and
derived Russian FED and ZORKI) there is "Z", on TSVVS instead we
found "B".

presenti gli occhielli per la tracolla. There are eyelets for shoulder belt.
8., 9. Altro particolare differente dalle
FED e ZORKI и la posizione della chiave di sblocco del coperchio
inferiore, ruotata di 90° rispetto a queste macchine. Il coperchio, essendo
in ottone, и molto piщ robusto e pesante di quello delle FED e
ZORKI. Another
difference with FED and ZORKI is particular position of bottom cover unlock
key, 90° rotated. The bottom cover is made of brass, so it is more heavy than
FED and Zorki.

Altra particolaritа della TSVVS
и la presenza di un numero
stampigliato all'interno del coperchio che coincide solitamente con un altro
numero stampigliato sulla scatola dell'otturatore. In questo modello il
numero и il
97. There is a number stamped on the internal of bottom
cover that is matching with another number stamped on the shutter box bottom.
In this model we can see N° 97.

15. La camma di accoppiamento
telemetro/obiettivo и di forma assolutamente originale, dissimile da
qualunque altra copia Leica. The rangefinder cam is absolutely
original, different from any other Leica copy.

Il pressapellicola ha un piccolissimo foro al centro. Come per i modelli
della FED 1 (dalla a fino alla c) ha la funzione di taratura del tiraggio
dell'obiettivo, anche se nella TSVVS non и presente il "tappo" sul dorso come nelle FEd 1a. There
is a little circular hole on the film press plate. Like the FED 1 (from a to
c models), the reason is adjustement of lens focus, anyway there is not the
corrispondent hole (with cover) on the back of the body like FED 1a.
